VIBE’S FASHION BUZZ: DOPE OR NOPE?
Spring ’09 Fashion Weeks from around the world brought out the good, the bad, and (sometimes) the ugly in celebrity fashion. VIBE was there to chronicle it all in “DOPE OR NOPE?” Zoë Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet), Pharrell Williams and Andre 3000 were Certified Dope. Ashanti and Kelly Rowland unfortunately had their Dopeness Denied.

VIBE STYLE COUNCIL’S HOT MESS!
VIBE’s Style Council declares “HOT MESS!” in the Worst Looks of 2008! Winners of this less than illustrious honor were: Solange Knowles (“…You don’t want to look like your sister, Beyoncé, but you don’t want to look like Big Bird either. Stay away from feathers.”); T-Pain (“The circus act is perfect for the stage, but all jokes aside, the crazy Mad Hatter look will only scare the strippers away in real life.”); Meagan Good (“This is a no-stylist alert!”); Aubrey O’Day (“Cute as puppies are, it will never be flattering to actually look like one.”), and Soulja Boy (“No one wants to see your underwear on the red carpet. And how long are they going to stay white when they’re hanging out of your pants like that?”).

VIBE’S SEXIEST MILFS
There are some very sexy MILF’s out there and VIBE has honed in on some of the hottest, baddest young baby mamas of 2008 in “Got (Fresh) MILF?!?” which include: Actress Jessica Alba, mother of 6-month-old Honor Marie with husband Cash Warren; Mashonda Dean, mother of 2-year-old Kasseem Jr. with hitmaker Swizz Beatz; Alani “LaLa” Vasquez, mother of 21-month-old Kiyan with NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony and Solange Knowles, mother of 4-year-old Daniel Julez with TK.

VIBE-RATED BEST BOOTY?
A year-end list wouldn’t be complete without a booty call to wrap it up. VIBE calls ’em as they saw ’em in “STOP ON A DIME”: Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, Alicia Keys, and Meagan Good show us the most luscious bodies of the year.

BEEFED UP?
This one’s for the ladies…In “BEEFED UP,” VIBE serves up the hottest male bodies of 2008. Some of VIBE’s faves include Nelly, Chris Brown, Flo Rida and Terry Crews.

VIBE’S BEST BEAT DOWN?
Who caught the worst beat down of 2008? VIBE points the finger at a few of the most busted-up bad boys of the year in “You Got Knocked The… #@&% Out!”: “Suge Knight caught a mean right hook to the grill and took a nap on the concrete mattress outside Los Angeles nightclub Shag in May;” internet street-fighting sensation and mixed-martial arts heavyweight Kimbo Slice went down in under 14 seconds in an EliteXC fight in October after lightly regarded MMA fighter Seth Petruzelli gave him the business; Yung Berg got the five-finger salute to the face from rapper Maino at an Atlanta nightclub in October; Houston rapper Mike Jones was sucker-punched by fellow Houston rapper Trae at the 2008 Ozone Awards in August.

With VIBE’s special reporting of the Year in Drama, the Tabloid Issue also unveils the juiciest, hottest, and most controversial news-makers of 2008: Pop&B’s rumored hottest couple Rihanna and Chris Brown in “Secret Lovers,” the not-so-secret six-year romance and private wedding ceremony of Jay-Z and Beyoncé in “Put A (Wedding) Ring On It!,” Actress LisaRaye and Turks and Caicos Islands Premier Michael Misick‘s marriage meltdown in “Scandal in the Caribbean!,” the rumors surrounding Grammy Award winning singer Alicia Keys‘ alleged role in the dissolution of producer Swizz Beatz‘s five-year marriage to singer Mashonda in “Like You’ll Never See Me Again,” and much more.

VIBE magazine’s January 2009 issue will be available on newsstands nationwide on December 16. For more information, visit VIBE.com.
