Brooklyn, NY (August 8, 2008) – In celebration of his sophomore album Prince Cometh, Ise Lyfe (pronounced “Ice Life”), one the nation’s premier spoken word artists and emcees is set to hit the road this summer, teaming up with the Bay-area based hip-hop group, Brown Buffalo, aka BRWN BFLO, for “The Beat Goes On Tour.” The mini-tour will encompass five dates that will cover major cities in California, including one date in Rosarito, Mexico.
Gaining momentum from his one-man theatre piece Who’s Krazy, which recently played at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood and was featured at the NAACP Theatre Awards, as well the summer release of his sophomore effort, Prince Cometh, Ise is ready to take off and be heard. With Prince Cometh Ise releases a 21-track album that re-envisions hip-hop’s status as a movement that challenges us, engages us, and forces us to look at our communities and ourselves. Devoid of being preachy, Prince Cometh offers a fly, socially aware, and personal record that offers a visionary outlook at the world we live in. Prince Cometh will be released on 7even89ine Music on August 19th in stores and July 15th digitally.
BRWN BFLO are four Chicano MC’s; Oye, Jacinot, Somos and Giant Dan, currently recording and building their fan base out of the Bay Area but representing different parts of California, from San Diego to Salinas to Oakland. LIL JON EMBRACES THE ORCHARD AND THE KING OF CRUNK IS SET FREE
Posted by bigced on August 10, 2008
On the heels of its milestone TVT Records acquisition, The Orchard, a global leader in digital music and entertainment, today announced a comprehensive pact with Lil Jon.
Lil Jon, the “King of Crunk,” is a multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning recording artist, producer, brand guru and record company mogul. He, along with his group The East Side Boyz, helped usher in the “dirty south’s” crunk movement, selling in excess of 12 million records in the U.S. alone. As a superstar producer, Lil Jon has produced some of the biggest hits of the past decade, including Usher’s “Yeah,” and Ciara’s “Goodies,” along with his own smash songs “Get Low,” and “Lovers & Friends”. Lil Jon markets his own energy drink with Crunk!!! Energy Drink, his own wine with Little Jonathan Wineries; has a multi-pronged endorsement and brand agreement with Oakley that includes his own limited edition sunglasses, Lil Jon Zero; and has acted as a spokesperson and product endorser for Heineken and Subway Restaurants. Lil Jon’s BME Recordings is the label home of Gold and Platinum recording artists E-40, Lil’ Scrappy, Trillville, Crime Mob and others.
As part of the deal, The Orchard will digitally reissue Lil Jon’s back catalogue (which it now owns through the TVT acquisition), including Put Yo Hood Up, Kings of Crunk and 2004’s smash Crunk Juice. Lil Jon will provide new content as a part of this campaign.
Lil Jon will also apply his proven creative talents in support of Orchard’s Brand Entertainment group, working with brands and agencies to develop innovative new lifestyle-oriented marketing and promotion programs. In addition, Lil Jon and The Orchard have committed to collaborate on additional opportunities including select A&R and production support to Orchard artists and labels. Lil Jon and The Orchard are committed to collaborating on new business ventures wherever possible in the future, which may include The Orchard providing marketing and distribution support for new future Lil Jon recordings or compilations.
As a part of the accord, Lil Jon has withdrawn his multi-million-dollar objection to the TVT sale proceedings, and agreed to TVT’s transfer of his artist recording agreement to The Orchard. The Orchard has in turn, released Jon from all future obligations under this previous TVT contract and agreed that Lil Jon owns all rights in the master recordings for his forthcoming and highly-anticipated album “Crunk Rock.” As a current and future business partner of Lil Jon’s, The Orchard is ecstatic that Lil Jon will now become the hottest free agent in the music industry.
“I walked into The Orchard and came away with the sweet taste of freedom!” said Lil Jon. “Others talk, The Orchard does. I expect to do great things with them, and look forward to my future.”
“Record companies today are taking more rights and a bigger piece of an artist’s career without regard to the long term relationship with and financial health of their artists. The Orchard has spoken loud and clear about their commitment to doing right by artists and have set the foundation for a positive ongoing relationship with Lil Jon with this landmark release.“ said Doug Davis of The Davis Firm, PLLC, who negotiated the agreement on behalf of Lil Jon.
“Crunk ain’t dead,” said Greg Scholl, President & Chief Executive Officer of The Orchard.

Posted by bigced on August 10, 2008
Vida Guerra, sultry Cuban model, is making the transition from sexy swim suit model, to multi-talented actress and singer. Widely known for her sexy image on the pages of popular national men’s magazines such as FHM, Smooth, The Source DUB, and Hip Hop music videos, Vida Guerra is by far one of today’s hottest rising stars taking the industry by storm.
For this hardworking beauty, despite a brief hiatus, she is not forgotten among her legions of adoring fans around the globe. Her website, www.VidasWorld.com, rakes in over 14 million hits a month, making Vida one of the most downloaded women on the web. As a result, Vida recently landed a coveted spot atop E! Entertainment’s 20 Hottest Women of the Web roundup, surpassing countdown alums such as spokesmodel and actress, Cindy Margolis.
Since exploding onto the scene back in 2002 with her very first FHM spread, this sexy beauty quickly established herself as one of the most sought after Latin swim suit models in the industry, and is now looking forward to fulfilling her childhood dream of reaching superstardom. Says Vida of her return to the industry: “I’m so thrilled to be jumping head first into an industry I love. I have a lot of exciting projects on the horizon and I can’t wait to get back to doing what I’m passionate about. Ever since I could remember, I’ve wanted to be an entertainer: signing autographs for my fans and singing in the mirror.” Vida and her family fled their homeland of communist Cuba when she was just five years old in hopes of leading a better life in the United States and to achieve the quintessential American dream. Vida credits hard work and a solid foundation between family and friends for her meteoric rise within the industry.
First up for Vida is her brand new limited edition DVD series Vida’s World, which gives fans an exclusive inside look at the ravishing beauty on the set of her glamour photo shoot with renowned photographer Keith Major in New York. Vida’s World is available for purchase through On The Grind – an explosive and innovative DVD magazine that documents highly successful individuals in entertainment, fashion, sports and corporate executives as they share their blueprints to success. On The Grind takes a deeper look into the lives of celebrities and industry tastemakers, in their everyday element through exclusive interviews and behind the scenes footage.
Vida recently signed on to host the hugely popular automotive lifestyle television series Livin’ the Low Life on SPEED TV, which made its debut in February 2008, bringing Vida into 77 million homes throughout the U.S. each week during primetime. When asked about the series, Vida says “With Livin’ the Low Life, I’m just being myself…hanging out and having fun. I must admit, I didn’t know much about cars when I landed the gig, but I learned by asking a lot of questions. I hope that people will learn to appreciate not only the cars but also the people who build them and the culture they represent.”
Vida Guerra continues to pave the way for Latinas everywhere. 2008 will also mark the beginning of Vida’s acting career with her role in this year’s independent comedy, Tamales and Gumbo directed and produced by Dale Stelly and K.C. Amos which co-stars Sofia Raquel Benitez, Jabbar George and Farrah Franklin, former member of the multi-platinum selling singing group Destiny’s Child. Vida is hard at work on other projects and recently landed a coveted role in the upcoming movie, The Vapors, based on the 1980’s pioneering hip hop collective, The Juice Crew. Vida’s film credits also include National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze 2, Fake Preacher and Strawberries for the Homeless.
As Vida’s star continues to rise, there are no limits to the many opportunities and challenging ventures she has yet to pursue. Vida’s journey has been a tale of resilience, hard work and inspiration to all who come to learn of her inspiring road to success.

AMALGAM DIGITAL TO RELEASE JOE BUDDEN’S SOPHOMORE LP, PADDED ROOM, ON OCTOBER 28
Posted by bigced on August 10, 2008
Joe Budden has kept a relatively low profile since his self-titled debut album went gold in 2003, earning him a Grammy nomination for best male rap solo performance. Despite his successful debut, Budden’s sophomore album sat on the shelves at Def Jam for nearly four years.
Despite the numerous setbacks, Jump Off Joe Budden kept busy during those years, accumulating a massive internet fan base by releasing the critically acclaimed “Mood Muzik” series of mixtapes, collaborating with artists such as Fabolous, Clinton Sparks, and Joell Ortiz, and engaging in highly publicized feuds with other rappers like Jay-Z, The Game, Prodigy and Ransom.
After finally cutting ties with Def Jam in 2007, Budden signed with Amalgam Digital, the booming independent responsible for launching hip-hop’s first genre-specific digital retail store. Amalgam promises to release Joe Budden’s highly anticipated sophomore album, “Padded Room” on October 28, 2008. The album will be available in stores worldwide in both physical CD and digital format. CINCINNATI BENGALS PRO BOWLER WILLIE ANDERSON STARTS NEW ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY THINK BIG ENTERTAINMENT
Posted by bigced on August 10, 2008
Cincinnati Bengals four-time Pro Bowl Offensive Tackle, Willie Anderson, takes his prowess from the field to the entertainment industry by starting Think Big Entertainment a full fledged Entertainment Company that focuses on both music and film. Think Big’s first release will be an album for 19-year-old rapper, G-Fiive, out of Anderson’s hometown, Mobile, Al.
“While football is my first love, music and film are a close 2nd,” states the consummate businessman. “But the first businesses I started were the twenty (20) Fat Burger franchise licenses I’ve acquired throughout Atlanta and Cincinnati. Now that I’ve gotten a number of them up and running I can concentrate on making my dream come true by building a successful entertainment company.”
Anderson’s love of hip-hop music and in particular the iconic rapper, Biggie Smalls, is what led to the naming of his company in 1997. “The night that Biggie was killed the networks kept showing the scene of the crime and I noticed that ‘Think Big’ posters were plastered all over the SUV. To commemorate him I thought it would be a great idea to name my new company that. The thing is, the company wouldn’t start for another 4 years but the name stuck.” Think Big was incorporated in 2001.
After a disappointing early start, Anderson decided to put his dream on ice and contemplated whether the entertainment industry was for him with its many tricks of the trade. It took another four years and a chance meeting with a then 16-year old G-Fiive that gave him hope. “G-Fiive’s energy gave me that spark I needed to go after my dream and make his dreams come true at the same time,” says Anderson.
While deliberately waiting for G-Fiive to graduate from high school before truly setting up his career, Anderson thought it best to develop G-Fiive’s craft first. “G-Fiive is a natural entertainer and I wanted to hone in on his ability and perfect it,” states Anderson.
The game plan for Think Big is to start small, one project at a time, with the initial focus on G-Fiive. “We feel development is the key element to success,” states Anderson. “The goal is to saturate the Internet as well as the streets with G-Fiive’s presence while gradually bringing awareness to the mainstream. Once this is established we will utilize the film arm of the company and give G-Fiive the visual affects he needs from video to short films.
G-Fiive’s debut CD will surprise many, although the lad is from the dirty south, his sound is broader than his roots and can be heard at www.myspace.com/younggonline; while his performances can be found on YouTube (just plug in “gmusicgroup” and you are in). Much of G-Fiive’s music concentrates on his love for beautiful women, his first street single, “Spotlight,” featuring Bobby Valentino is a mid-tempo hit that gives props to a beautiful woman. He’s also released online “Spongebob” which has a cool dance that accompanies it (find it on YouTube), “New G Spot,” “Cool It Down,” and “Can I Be Your Friend.”
