SHA STIMULI & DJ VICTORIOUS RELEASE “THE SECRET” TODAY!!!!!!!

Posted by bigced on May 1, 2008

The Carnegie Group is pleased to announce the release of “The Secret”, the fourth compelling installment from the 12 month 12 cd campaign launched by Sha Stimuli and DJ Victorious January 2008. “The Secret” debuts TODAY and takes a different, lighter approach from the theme based content of his first three releases (“The Wire”, “Love Jones”, and “March on Washington”), all of which continue to receive rave reviews.

“The Secret” offers 12 tracks that cleverly magnify the versatility of the lyrical champion, and features Pain in da Ass, Crooked I, and Torae.  With tracks like “Right Now”, Sha Stimuli provides listeners with songs that are uplifting and echo messages of motivation and progression.  “I’ve always been called the voice of the people”, Stimuli states. “Regardless of where I’m going with the music I put out, there will always be something letting people know no matter the situation, tomorrow is a better day. You control what happens next in your life. If there’s something you want, and you believe in it, what’s stopping you? Go get it. Stimuli is gonna always give you something you can feel.”

Contrary to his signature laid back flow, the song “Deal Wit Me” depicts a more boastful, over confident, in your face side of the emcee. The hard hitting hook on this song helps to drive his point home: “Deal Wit Me, I ain’t goin’ no where you gotta deal with, I ain’t goin’ no where you gotta deal with me. You scared…”

On “Deal Wit Me” Sha Stimuli doesn’t wait for recognition. Instead he uses cocky lyrics that flaunt his undeniably profound and unstoppable presence in the hip-hop game.

Sha Stimuli and DJ Victorious deliver another award winning release. “The Secret” caters to the high momentum surrounding the much talked about campaign, once again satisfying the craving appetites of hip hop lovers and critics throughout the industry.

Sha Stimuli sat down for an “EXCLUSIVE” interview with Hip Hop Game. Check out what he had to say about his 12 month 12 cd campaign, latest releases, and what he feels about the current state of hip hop. http://www.hiphopgame.com/index2.php3?page=stimuli4.

INTRODUCING KWAME’S DEBUT ARTIST – QUEENS NATIVE, BEYOND BELIEF – DOWNLOAD THE SINGLE

Posted by bigced on May 1, 2008

CLICK ABOVE IMAGE TO WATCH BEYOND BELIEF’S DON’T TOUCH VIDEO

Super-producer Kwame is no stranger to naysayers so it is perhaps fitting that his first artist, Rockaway, Queens native Beyond Belief, is a white rapper for whom the most obvious comparisons – that of Eminem and Vanilla Ice - have already been made ad nauseum. But Beyond Belief is neither.

With musical influences that range from classic rock staples like Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones to Hip Hop legends like Jay-Z and Wu-Tang, Beyond Belief’s style is just not that easy to pigeon-hole. He is certainly not a gangsta but a 20 year old student at the University of Miami where he is majoring in marketing and so far as I know, there is no one in his life that he feels inclined to dismember and cart around the city in Hefty bags. And he loves his Mom – in fact, the mother in the video to his soon-to-be-smash single Don’t Touch is his actual Mother. The extras, bar one, are his actual friends and the video was shot in Beyond Belief’s house in Queens by Jason Perez.

Kwame-produced Don’t Touch is a catchy, party ’til you puke anthem that not only recently won the Battle of the New Songs several days running on Reno’s WYLD but was also immediately added into rotation at the station, a repeat of the song’s performance on California’s KISV. The accompanying video has been viewed over 100,000 times on MySpace so far and over 40,000 on YouTube and will soon be added to Music Choice. Don’t Touch IS the quintessential Summer single.

Naysayers beware though. Beyond Belief can freestyle as well. His entrance into Hip Hop came from his experiences battle- rapping with his friends in high school much like so many emcees. The crowd reactions were addictive and a career was born. 6 years of work with Kwame nurtured that rhyme-writing into song writing and his own unique style.

I asked Beyond Belief what he had to say to haters that might think a white guy has no place in Hip-Hop and he offered the following-

It doesn’t really bother me because true Hip-Hop heads and music fans judge artists by the quality of their music, not the color of their skin. I accept the fact that some people will hate on me just because. That just inspires me to make the best music I can make. I feel that talent ultimately prevails at the end of the day. They can hate me all they want to.

We invite you all, aspiring haters included, to download the single below, watch the video and judge for yourself. Feedback is definitely welcome.

About Sketch

Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Sketch is quickly becoming a noted visual illustrator and artist within the entertainment industry. Sketch possesses an uncanny gift of crafting and duplicating picture perfect portraits and images. From humble beginnings, this artist knew as a small child that art was going to be his path to success. Although he was born as Laurence Cheatham, it wasn’t long before he gained his new found moniker. Sketch began drawing elaborate pictures as early as five years old and was taught to draw by his own mother. It was a skill that came natural to him and one that he truly loved. Using any available blank space as a canvas of self expression, there was no doubt that his dreams of becoming an artist weren’t far from sight.

By age 17, Sketch was already well known and highly respected for his talent in his neighborhood and in school, alike. However, being ambitious and business minded, he was determined to make his mark in the entertainment industry.  Cleverly, he began sketching out images and airbrushing portraits of his favorite artists and soliciting them, one by one. Initially, each artist he approached thought he was a fan but these thoughts were immediately expelled once Sketch began to speak. Business savvy, articulate, and charming, Sketch was equipped with the right combination to earn the respect of every artist he approached. From 50 Cent, to LL Cool J, to Janet Jackson, Sketch’s work and name as an artist was rapidly spreading throughout the industry by the notable celebrities. Not only did they take notice but Sketch was being summoned and his work was instantly worthy of being commissioned.

It wasn’t long before Sketch was invited to be a guest on shows like BET’s 106 & Park, Rap City, and G-Unit Radio. BET’s 106 & Park host, Rocsi, was featured wearing an original airbrushed portrait of Biggie on a fitted jacket, designed by Sketch. His portrait of Tupac was featured on Rap City for Tupac’s Anniversary Tribute. He was also solicited to airbrush a portrait for Biggie’s 10th Anniversary. Portraits and personal art work for Eminem, Lil’ Mama, The Game, and Remy Ma, among others have been added to his portfolio of unparalleled art.

Sketch is not only a talented artist but he is charismatic.  His keen ability to seize opportunity coupled with his delectable personality is what is catapulting this young artist into the public eye as a rising star. Sketch is undeniably gifted and as he sketches out his own vision and journey to success, it won’t be long before the world will know his name.
