Trinity Entertainment Inc. (www.Trinityentertainmentbarbados.com) has launched Destination Barbados “Discover the Talent, Fulfill the Dream“ Career Fair 2008, a week look career and talent fair taking place on the island of Barbados April 7th to April 13th. Barbados’ Prime Minister David Thompson and The Prime Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy have shown great support and will hold a press conference on April 9th to announce their support of the Fair.
The first of its kind in Barbados, the Career Fair comes behind the global success of Bajan singing sensation “Rhianna” hitting the top of the international music charts and winning her first Grammy Award. Her international success has motivated the youth of Barbados into believing that they too can make it big once they believe and have the opportunity to do so. The event looks to assist the youth of Barbados with their careers and aspirations of becoming the next big musical talent
The Career Fair starts on April 7th 2008 with workshops being hosted by internationally renowned Ken Barbaoza and Team who handles much of the modeling, fashion and photography portfolios of the stars in the fashion and entertainment industry.
“Music is universal and the next big star doesn’t have to be waiting in line for American Idol,” says INC Founder/CEO and Career Fair supporter Irv Gotti. “If there’s talent here I’m going to find it.”
Top music executives include: Mark Pitts, President of Jive Records (responsible for signing Chris Brown, Ciarra and Usher among others); Chad Elliott, Vice President of Urban A&R at Columbia Records (most recent projects Bow Wow, Omarion, Lyfe Jennings, Swizz Beatz and DMX); and Dan Cooper, Vice President of Marketing at THE INC Records (JaRule and Lloyd) have been confirmed as talent scouts. Their arrival in Barbados will mark the culmination of the final two days of national auditions with 50 of the chosen candidates going before the international talent scouts to showcase some of the best talent that Barbados has to offer.
Trinity Entertainment Inc understands the demands of this generation looks to make this an annual event and will continue to make more opportunities available to them in all areas of the entertainment field.
