FREE ADMISSIONIt is a longstanding tradition for the Black History Month Committee at Medgar Evers College to honor the elders in our community. This program is always on a Sunday and this year, The Last Poets will be honored for their unwavering commitment to the arts and community.

The program provides an opportunity for students and community members to meet and hear The Last Poets. Additional readings will be offered by award-winning performance poet MO BEASLEY, emerging spoken word artist CHRIS SLAUGHTER, and a high school student representative from the Center for Black Literature’s CUNY Arts/College Now Spoken Word-Hip Hop class.President’s Conference Center (Room B-1008)
